About GOG
About GOG
Building better basketball officials since 2014.
The story.
Global Officials Group was founded in 2014 with a simple conviction: officiating deserves the same development pipeline players get. What began as one official's operation has grown into a roster of 125 working more than 3,000 games a year. GOG has operated nationally — including Florida, New York, and Arizona — and today concentrates its system where it can go deepest: North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. The mission hasn't moved: recruit good people, train them properly, and advance them as far as their work will take them — from middle school gyms to high school floors to the college game.
The founder.

Quentin McDaniel
Founder, Global Officials Group
Quentin McDaniel has spent more than two decades on the floor and behind the schedule. He trained at the George Toliver School for Officials in 2004, finished in the top 10 as its youngest camper, and by 2006 was ranked the #1 camper and named the youngest All-American in his camp's history. He went on to work college basketball across the CIAA, Big South, Carolinas Conference, SAC, SIAC, PBL, and the MEAC, and officiated an NCHSAA 3A State Championship and Western Regional Final in 2016.
His assigning career runs just as deep: Director of Basketball Officials for the City of Concord, Director of All Sports Officials for the City of Salisbury Parks and Recreation, Director of Officials for Basketball and Volleyball with the Salisbury-Rowan school system, Lead Official of North Carolina for the Disney Worldwide Sports Complex, and Lead Official for the National Christian School Athletic Association. He studied Sports Management & Marketing at Winston-Salem State University and founded Global Officials Group in 2014.
